After almost two long years, Google finally brought the iOS version of its Google TV to the App Store. The Android version of the same app was made available in 2020.

May Google that the Play Movies & TV app was old, so the company retouched it with some modern design and relaunched it with a new name called Google TV in 2020. Though the service is the same, Google wanted to emphasize its existence in the streaming industry in some form.
In this pursuit, Google is pushing users toward its new app – Google TV – ever since it was launched. The company even removed the Movies & TV tab in its Play Store last week and asked users to seek Google TV for the same.
And now, it announced the iOS version of its rebranded Google TV – after almost two years after launching the Android counterpart. It’s available in the App Store , and the users who are using the old Play Movies & TV app will have the app transformed into Google TV automatically, said Hanwook Kim, Product Manager of Google TV.
