Google in its I/O event last year announced a new privacy option – the ability to delete the last 15 minutes of your search history easily.

This has been available to Google iOS app for quite a time and now starts rolling out to its Android counterpart. Confirmed by Google, this option is available in the latest Google app and lets you delete the last 15 minutes with a few simple taps.

Google’s New Privacy Feature

Google is one of those services where users are scared about leaving their digital interests. All the browsing history or apps you use may earn Google much, as it profiles your data for various purposes. But if you don’t it to happen, you can keep deleting the data that you provide to Google in a number of ways.

One among them is the option to delete the last 15 minutes of your search history easily. Google in its last year’s I/O event said it will induce such an option in the Google app soon, and did it for the iOS Google app in July that. And though it promised to bring the same to the Android app by the year ending, it just passed.

At Google I/O 2021, Google announced it’d roll out an option to delete the last 15 minutes of your search history. This rolled out on iOS in July 2021 but was said to come to Android later. Well, it appears to now be rolling out! Thanks to @panduu221 for the tip! pic.twitter.com/gdtAa1pIFo — Mishaal Rahman (@MishaalRahman) March 18, 2022
